Melbourne, Aug 13, 2016: Actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan obtained prime honours on the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2016 right here.

The awards evening, held on the iconic Melbourne Recital Centre on Friday, had “Parched” bagging the award for Finest Indie Movie whereas the Shakun Batra’s directorial “Kapoor & Sons” received award for the Best Film, read an announcement as Nawazuddin, Sonam, Fawad win prime honours in Melbourne.

Nawazuddin and Sonam received the Best Actor and Actress awards for his or her work within the film “Raman Raghav 2.zero” and “Neerja” respectively.

Fawad from Pakistan gained the Diversity Award for his contribution to Indian and Pakistani Cinema when Nawazuddin, Sonam, Fawad win prime honours in Melbourne.

Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor was honoured with the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Excellence in Cinema Award.
