Government to audit of telecommunication specially : Prasad

New Delhi, April 29 : The Govt. can conduct special audit of telecommunication firms for 3 subsequent  monetary years 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11, parliament was informed  on Fri.

“Government has determined to conduct Special Audit for 3 resulting monetary years 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11. the method is underneath manner,” Communications Minister Shankar Prasad cleared in a very written reply to the Rajya Sabha.

The government can conduct special audit for telecommunication corporations together with, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Communications and idea Cellular.

“The government conducted the special audit of 5 major telecommunication firms in 2009 for financial year 2006-07 and 2007-08. On the idea of this special audit demands for Rs.1,846.51 crore were issued,” the minister explained.
